My Grandmother’s Braid

Closer to the finish date I emailed Bryan photos of the painting when it was about 75% complete. He responded with three haikus he composed. I feel Bryan’s poem and my painting are very harmonious in their expression. I am so pleased that we both arrived at the same place with our artistic responses.

Captured Essence

“Mary’s Words” was created while Mary read some of her poetry and then continued to write as I painted. At one point I became self-conscious. Juxtaposition Installation

We will be installing Juxtaposition today at the Millennium building. There is some really great art and poetry going up — so come and say hi! Find out more on the show.
