How Much is that Doggy in the Window? Update!
The following is the response we received from Allison Bolduc, Associate Director of Development with CAS:
“Being able to have adoptable animals in the 401 King Street space during SEWE weekend was amazing! We had a total of 12 off-site adoptions in 3 days! We also enjoyed the opportunity to speak with fellow animal lovers and spread the message about our mission to save lives. Aside from the adoptions, we got several donations, and even signed up some new volunteers. Because of this event, CAS is able to use the 401 King Street space to hold future adoption events at key times during the year. We have secured the space for the Charleston Food and Wine Festival, as well as Spoleto! With aggressive adoption numbers to meet this year, we are so grateful to WALK gallery for collaborating with us to tell our story and save lives! We appreciate this opportunity to find homes for loving pets, and to inspire passers by with the joy of animal companionship.
The posters that were made for this event really made a community impact. The fact that they were in such a prominent location really made a difference in getting the word out about adoptions. We had many people excited to see the building at 372 used for such a positive community cause. ”
Thank you for everyone’s involvement! We hope to see this project expand in the future!
